E V E L Y N is a Guatemalan born, German descendant, self-taught Imaginative Abstract artist. Gently titillating even in their most evocative effect, her oil, acrylic and mixed media compositions lure the quite willing beholder to surrender to, and thus implicitly trust, the undercurrents of an ocean of contemplative quietude, the latter lending their cosmically engineered and most necessary vital energy to a process of aesthetic self healing at which end (hopefully) the beholder finds him/herself embryonically nourished and invigorated, if not redefined.
Stylistically, Evelyn's meditative renderings are served as sumptuous treats of warm color fields, robustly textured lyrical abstractions unabashedly engaged in harmonious interplay and elongated, curved lines that unqualifiedly embrace that which they contour.
Evelyn has been inspired by the work of talented German Artist, Mr. Gerhard Richter.
Evelyn's art has been featured in solo exhibitions in Brentwood (2010-2013), Los Angeles (2014), Solo exhibition at Higland Park (2014), and in two Solo exhibitions at cultural venues in Freudental, Germany (2017).
Additionally, one of Evelyn's pieces was selected as the poster image for a "Converging Creativities" workshop conducted at the American University of Beirut (2012)/New York.
As a cancer survivor, Evelyn donated and sold in auction three pieces of Art, event held by The American Cancer Society, Culver City, California, 2015.
