I’m of German descendent, born in Guatemala in 1961 and have always loved Art … after all, we are all surrounded by it. Also, I have been in Love with beauty, being passionate of everything that talks to me through Art.
I moved to Los Angeles, California in 2004. In 2007, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
When I was told I had cancer, it felt like a death sentence. At that point, I didn’t know if I was going to survive.
Inspired by my grandson (Bradley) to be born in 2008, I wanted to leave for him something special made by me and I painted my first piece. It was intended to be the first and last one, but at the same time, I realized that I had much more to exploit with my self-taught art and imagination; so I started my oil and acrylic paintings.
As a breast cancer survivor: Just the fact to be alive, every day is a new inspiration for me. My collection grew and I wanted to share the paintings with the world, so everyone could enjoy them.
After researching the works by the great impressionists and studying their techniques and style, I found myself painting with such enthusiasm; I created a studio using techniques with brush and palette knife.
By rediscovering this love for Art, reinventing myself with all my inspiration, I haven’t stopped painting and never will, giving humanity a message of Love and positive energy, without a specific guiding principle.
Each painting is different to the next, just by being enamored of life! With each and every stroke of painting I’m leaving my message of Love to whoever wants to discover their own appreciation through this universe of colors, textures and my intense designs. Try to discover what I am sharing with you, by inducing your soul for contemplation
So, this is actually and adventure you and I are sharing, by paddling together in this ocean of imagination, discovering my Art.

BIENVENIDOS AL ARTE DE EVELYN SPATZ
Soy de descencia Alemana, naci en Guatemala en 1961 y siempre he amado el Arte. Después de todo, estamos rodeados de Arte. Yo siempre he admirado el Amor y labelleza, siendo apasionada por todo lo relacionado al Arte.
Vivo en California desde 2004. En 2007, me diagnosticaron con cáncer de pecho y cuando me dijeron que tenía cáncer, es como una sentencia de muerte. No sabía si sobreviviría.
Inspirada por mi nieto, Bradley, que nacería en 2008, quería dejarle algo especial y le hice mi primer pintura al oleo; supuestamente la primera y última, pero al mismo tiempo, me di cuenta que yo tenía mucho más que dar como artista y explotar mi imaginación, así que comencé mis pinturas al oleo y acrílicos.
Como sobreviviente de cáncer: Solo el hecho de estar viva, cada día es una nueva inspiración para mí!!! Mi colección creció y quiero compartir mis pinturas con el mundo, para que las disfruten.
Después de investigar trabajos de grandes impresionistas y estudiar sus técnicas y estilo, me encontré pintando con tanto entusiasmo, que hice mi estudio usando técnicas con pinceladas y espátulas.
Al redescubrir mi amor por el Arte, reinventarme con toda esta inspiración, no he parado y no parare de pintar, compartiendo con la humanidad un mensaje de Amor y energía positiva, sin un principio específico.
Cada pintura es diferente, solo por el hecho de estar enamorada de la vida! Con cada una de las pinceladas, estoy dejando un mensaje de Amor a todo aquel que quiera descubrir su propia apreciación a través de este universo de colores, texturas y misintensos diseños. Traten de descubrir lo que estoy compartiendo con ustedes, induciendo su alma en la contemplación.
Así que, esta es una aventura que ustedes y yo estamos compartiendo, remando juntos en este océano de imaginación, descubriendo mi Arte.
